Cadent Gas: Upcoming works in and around Clay Cross

Cadent Gas Ltd visited Clay Cross Social Centre on Friday 29th May to inform local people of their upcoming gas works in our area.

On the 9th June 2025, Cadent will be starting a project in Clay Cross to modernise gas pipes under Stretton Road. Cadent anticipate that this will take 8.5 weeks. Cadent say these are vital works that will allow them to keep the gas flowing to everyone in Clay Cross and beyond for generations to come.

Traffic management controls will be in place at Stretton Road/A61 High Street, Queen Street, Clay Lane and Thanet Street, to allow engineers to carry out the works as safely and as quickly as possible.
