Update on the Clay Cross Town Deal project

As Clay Cross Active will soon reach its completion and many other projects are progressing in Clay Cross, 2025 is an exciting time for our town!

The creation of the new town centre space, Baileys Square, is well underway, with an expectation completion date of December 2025.

The next steps in the redevelopment of Clay Cross will be:

The re-opening of Bridge Street to two way traffic
The closure of Market Street between the junctions at Bridge street and High Street to create a new pedestrianised area
Bus station improvements being carried out as part of the 'Bus Service Improvement Plan'
