Fantastic Efforts on Easter Litter Pick!!

A BIG well done to everyone who turned out to the Social Centre on Wednesday morning to take part in the Easter Community Litter Pick!

We are so proud of the community spirit that exists in and around our Parish. People who willingly and freely give their time to make Clay Cross a better place.

A whopping 120.6KG of discarded litter was removed from and around our town centre in under 2 hours!

More of these litter picks will take place in the coming months; details will be shared on our website and the Clay Cross Social Centre Facebook page nearer the time. Why not join us and get involved in something positive in your local area!

Thank You again to all involved this includes organiser Hayley Bramley, Walking Into Communities Development Officer at North East Derbyshire District Council, Nicole Murtagh, Tesco Clay Cross Community Champion who supplied fruit and biscuits, the District Council Street Scene Team for providing the equipment and collecting all the filled rubbish bags, Chesterfield Litter Pickers and finally, all the local adults and children who came along.
