Clay Cross Planned Road Changes

As Clay Cross undergoes its current transformation there will be several minor changes to road layouts.

These are shown in the image and listed below for your information.

1 - The re-opening of Bridge Street at the junction with Eldon Street

2 - Left-turn only from Eldon Street into Bridge Street

3 - New Traffic signalling at the Bus Station exit

4 - Bus Station changes; Reduction to four bus stands to allow for exit on to Bridge Street. New bus shelters and addition of Real Time bus information boards (Funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan)

5 - Closure of Market Street at the junction with Bridge Street and High Street creating a pedestrianised area

6 - Bollard installation to public car park

7 - New car park access from A61 High Street

These changes form part of the Clay Cross Town Deal, under North East Derbyshire District Council (with the exception of changes to the bus station, which are funded by the Bus Service Improvement Pan).
