A61 South - your chance to shape the future
What this consultation is about
Derbyshire County Council are currently revising their Local Transport Plan, the document which sets priorities for investment in roads and transport across the county.
One of the roads they are looking at is the A61 between Chesterfield and Clay Cross, which is likely to see a number of new housing and commercial developments in the years ahead. This could make the road busier.
They are now looking at how they can manage congestion and reduce emissions on the road and provide people who live along it with alternative ways to travel.
They want to build the views of people who use the A61 South and live near it into that work. So, they have asked their partner AECOM to carry out this survey, which asks you how you use the road and what you think about some potential options to improve it.
It should take you around 10 minutes to answer the questions.
You can find out more about the consultation in our video.
They would really appreciate your input into this survey. It will help them get a better understanding of what people think, and support any applications they make for government funding.
They will use the findings from this survey to help develop ideas for the next stage of this process
